Photoshop Recipe 1: Soft Hazes Actions
1. Photoshop CC (the steps can be done in Photoshop Elements except the group opacity control is different)
I started from this photo
To rotate an image, go to Menu then click Image > Image Rotation > 90° CCW (for this image).
I played the action: BASE (Play First before Creative Effects) and turned on Vivid and Rich Matte.
I added the action: Bittersweet and removed the effect of gradient on the subject by painting on the layer mask as shown below.
Next, I added the action: Candy and copied the layer mask in Bittersweet's "bi_Gradient" layer (see illustration above) to Candy's "ca_Gradient 1", "ca_Gradient 2" and "ca_Gradient 3" (see illustration below). To copy a layer mask to another layer, click on the layer mask and drag it to the destination layer while pressing the Alt/Opt key.
I played the action: Soft Peachy Center.
I added the actions: Add Color (Paint-on), Vignette (Paint-on), Brighten (Paint-on), Clarity (Paint-on) and painted on the layer masks to show the effects in some areas of my photo (see illustration below).
